1.Lake Myvatn Day Tour and Godafoss Waterfall for Cruise Ships from Akureyri Port

★★★★★★★★★★4.5 · 473 reviews · 5 to 6 hours (approx.) · from $205Our pick

Cruise-friendly Lake Myvatn and Goðafoss day tour from Akureyri with small-group pickup, lava landscapes, and optional Nature Baths.

“Good tour but they crammed in a lot. Could have used more time at waterfall - we had to jog to see the view from both sides, rest of the group just saw one side. An hour at the baths (including lunch) was no where near enough time. Our guide dropped us and we skipped the mud baths but even 1.5 hours wasn’t really enough. By the time we got through the lines and 3 kids dressed we had maybe 20 min to swim before we had to pack everything up and stand in more lines for lunch. It felt very rushed. I would say unless you can get more…”

She helped us to spot three different species, several Humpback whales - feeding on the surface, Minke whales and even a pair of Harbor porpoises. She also generously shared the pictures she took during the tour with all the participants. Takk, Dominique and the whole crew! Great experience!”
