“Our guide was very knowledgeable! He did a fantastic job guiding us through the snowy terrain. My only two suggestions would be to turn up the microphone as we struggled to hear him up the back and help other tourists when crossing the road. A few Asian tourists in the tour with had poor road awareness nearly got hit by trucks when we were on the highway heading to the volcano. “The trip was fantastic and exceeded our expectations! The geologist guide lady was very knowledgable and provided detailed information about the rocks and recent eruptions in the local area as well as some historical information both during the drive and on the walk. She also presented some graphical data about past eruption and maps on the active areas on Iceland which were all very interesting. The walk was no too strenuous but you do need a reasonable level of fitness as there is some uphill sections and you need to wear good sturdy footware as the path was rocky in places. He was very personable and adjusted the locations we saw and stopped at, based on our hiking abilities and what we wanted to accomplish.
