The hike was about 1.5 hours and moderately challenging in a few areas because slushy snow was on a steep area of the mountains and coming down steep inclines, but it was doable and Gummie was a great guide. “The places you visit are GORGEOUS. It takes more than 2 hours to get to the national park from Hella and once you get there the hike is beautiful, and fairly easy (only 3 hours of walking). Considering days are so long in the summer, they could probably start a bit later or finish a bit later and go on a longer hike. The hot springs at the end are amazing. It’s overall a good tour. Our guide was super nice.”

We went early into the season so the conditions made for a challenging hike which was also made longer due to the road becoming inaccessible before the intended stop (personally, we were happy to have an extended hike through mountains so this was a bit of good fortune in our eyes!). There was still quite a lot of snow cover which obscured the colours of the mountains slightly, but this was due to recent weather and you could see the snow already melting as the day went on so I would have no doubt that the area clears quickly as June progresses if you…”
